What is interferential?
Interferential is an electrotherapy modality that has been used for several decades to treat acute and chronic pain. The modality delivers two separate electrical signals into the body. Where the signals cross a pulse or beat pattern is created to relieve pain. The frequency of interferential current allows deeper penetration of tissue, resulting in longer lasting pain relief than provided by other types of electrotherapy.
